Genotypes, Lineages & Splicing
Every character in Einsol’s Razor begins with a Genotype—the biological blueprint that defines their body, stats, and core traits.
But the Razor is built on divergence. You may inherit Lineage from a parent species or splice new genes into your frame with advanced biotech. Your DNA is the starting point—but never the final shape.
Base Genotypes
Dominant Lineage
Your previous Genotype is completely overwritten, as you gain different Traits and Abilities, and you lose any Base Genotype abilities you had.
Tributary Lineage
Tributary Traits are additional, and do not replace your Base Genotype Traits unless expressly stated.
Enhances your existing genes. Add bonuses without rewriting your roots.
Genetic Splicing
This does not alter your base genetics, or introduce enough of them to create a Lineage. Rather, the technology involved seamlessly splices them into your existing Genotype.
In a world where science meets sorcery, the technology of genetic splicing allows characters to fine-tune their biology without rewriting who they are. Developed by Jìnhuà researchers and administered in high-tech SEDA clinics, splicing is a subtle enhancement—not a replacement. It doesn't grant you a new Lineage or erase your origins; it simply weaves in a second thread of power. Whether you're chasing legacy, rebellion, or survival, splicing lets you add a twist to your Genotype’s story—one that stacks with everything you already are.
Not all DNA is compatible, and splicing isn’t for everyone—but for those it is, it’s a custom blueprint for evolution.
