Update

You kill enough things, you check enough boxes, the number goes up. Your character grows. Except that's not how anyone actually remembers their best sessions. Nobody walks away from a table saying "we got 400 XP tonight." They say "we burned the whole city down and it was our fault" or "I didn't think we were going to make it out of that one."

When we first started running Einsol's Razor at our own table, we did what most GMs do, asked around the table if anyone had any hard limits, got a few nods, and moved on. It worked, mostly. But "mostly" isn't good enough when you're running a game that blends cyberpunk grit with dark fantasy. Einsol's Razor goes places. And not everyone wants to go to the same places.
